Mods for a C1 KDX

Post by rocky_road_runner24 »

I have heard of the pipe mod, Im planning on that, power reeds, keihin pwk 35mm ( later on ), Pro- Lite .40 over, and stiffer springs and higher weight oil.
I'm 230ish pounds on a good day so i think i might need stiffer springs. any other ideas?

Pipe mod for a 1986 model??

Look for a used FMF pipe. It was the most bang for the buck mod. Beyond that, porting and head work.

Depending on your riding area, DG silencer or (IF IT FITS) FMF universal spark arrestor

not sure if i would take much advise from that fellow, no fork boots, 1/4 turn slack on his throttle cable, ZERO slack on his chain, lawnmower petcock...not sure if id listen to him

having said that, ive heard of people gutting pipes but im not sure if it is a good idea
i would be inclined to believe that all that stuff was in there for a reason and kawasaki did some research before putting this pipe into production
there might be a slight weight deduction in it for you but if it were my bike, i would hold out for an actual pipe

(or save up for one)
