Cycra Rebound hand guards
Does anyone have any first hand experience with the new Cycra Rebounds. I currently have ProBends but don't really like the "closed in feeling." Wanting to switch to the flag style but still want some protection. Can these new Rebounds take some abuse or are they plastic junk like most flag style guards?

Me personally, I'd stick with the enclosed regular ones. I like my hands and wrists. Trees, speed, and all that. Think protection.

Re: Cycra Rebound hand guards
Same here. Unless you hit something at 60km/h I doubt there's a big difference (except for the price). But even Chinese wrap arounds would be better than those butterfly ones. I can't count the number of times I would have been cut up or had my knuckles smashed had I not had wrap arounds. Depends on the type of riding you do though. Open terrain or tight woods?diymirage wrote:TAT2 wrote:I agree with Jason. I have the Cycra Pro Bends on my DR650 and just put these on my KDX....

Re: Cycra Rebound hand guards
I have the ProBends on mine and the Acerbis guards on my sons KTM. I just don't like the feeling of having my hands "boxed in" with the full wrap style hand guards. If you REALLY hit a tree I don't think it will make much difference what you have because it's going to leave a mark either way. Why is it that most of the top riders in off-road events don't use full wrap guards?

because
1 they might not run through as tight single track with s many trees as close together as we do
2 they might not run as fast as we do
3 they just might be better riders then we are and not hit as many trees as we do
