How so I know what piston is in my 220?

Post by TAT2 »

Hello all,

I am wondering what piston is in my bike? Guy I bought it from was not the original owner and did not know. If it's a newer aftermarket Wiseco that would be awesome? How can I tell??

Thx

Wiseco piston
The 6th post in that thread ^ shows my stock OEM piston. Markings included an arrow (towards exhaust) and a "C." These markings would have been very difficult to see peering through the plug hole as they were pretty carboned over. Hope to be seating the rings on the new Wiseco piston tomorrow.

The next post from Ted shows his Wiseco.
2003 KDX 220. RB Carb & Head Mods. Desert pipe. She's a runner!
2006 KLX 250 w/351 big bore. A well-sorted dual sporter.
2006 KLR 650. Mostly stock.
2014 Suzuki DL1000.

Cool! Let me know how the new piston goes in! I may be doing it soon! So I will need to remove the head to check it out. Would be nice if it's a Wiseco! :supz:

I showed what the side of mine looked like so you could check yours either through the exhaust or intake and leave the head in place.
