Quick question

Post by KDX_Johnny »

2006 KDX200: I noticed the other day that's the brake line that comes off my rear master cylinder goes forward and then loops backwards towards the rear brake. BUT while the brake line is doing that loop I noticed it rubs against the rear shock spring.... So much so that it's actually wearing the paint off the spring. Does anybody else's bike do this? Is it okay? Should I move the brake line over? I really don't care about the spring. I just don't want my brake line to be worn through.

I would try to route the brake line in such a way that it does not rub anything, yes.

Quick question

Quick simple fix....

Unbolt & remove the rear caliper leaving the brake line still on ...

Pull straight..

Rotate the caliper `CLOCKWISE` 1 turn should do...

Keeping everything tight....refit......it now shouldn't touch or rub the spring !
