Gas issue. Maybe

Okay, we changed the oil on his bike, changed the air filter and cleaned and lubed the chain. When we the started to clean the chain and lube the chain. This is what happened. I had him lean the bike over with the kick stand down to get the rear wheel off the ground. Meaning we leaned it to the left. When we did this gas started coming out of one of the drain hoses at the bottom of the bike. We had the bike leaned over a fair bit. Is this normal? If not what could be the issue?

Again thanks for the help.

It is normal. It is somewhat related to your float height in the carb. If you had it leaned over a good bit, I would not worry about it.

Cool. Thanks. Our first 2 stroke has me on pins and needles. Especially after my cousin's 15 year old son's YZ 125 top end blew up about 2 miles into his first ride a couple of months ago. I gotta say this KDX has been awesome since we purchase it a few months ago. It's funny how both 15 year olds love the smoke and the smell of the 2 strokes. I think they enjoy the acceleration more.

My wife let a neighbor ride our KX100.
He started it up, went around the field once, and then went tearing up the road.

Siezed because it was not warmed up enough. Twice around the field it would have been fine.

Dang Kids......
