Put new packing in it and still does the same thing. Runs a few mins, wipe plug off, runs again.

I'm not sure. I assume stock jets. How can I tell?

ding*ding*ding

there is your problem

your bike is not properly jetted
even if the inside of the carb is spotless and the jets are flawlessly clean it still wont run right unless they are the right size jets

go through the jetting guide http://www.kdxrider.net/forums/viewtopi ... 105&t=1156

and see if that doesn't fix your problem

(as far as telling what size the jets are, the pilot jet has a number stamped on the top, the main jet on the side)
stock jetting is pig rich for most any bike could cause the problem you are seeing

I tried that, but it seems when turning the idle and air screw, it didn't make much difference.

I just checked the reed valve and a corner is chipped off one of the corners. Hopefully that's the problem

a properly jetted carb will react to changes to the air screw
the chipped reed will need to be replaced but after that you have to jet your carb

Do you think the chipped reed valve is causing the problem? There's also 2 other pedals that aren't even touching the reed cage.

chipped reed will make the bike act like it is running rich but a poorly jetted bike will never run right

so get some new reeds, jet her and ride the wheels off of it
