Hi Folks,
My son's 05 KDX 200 has original grips that are still in great shape. The young lad is saving his cash for some new grips with some green bling on them. We are willing to give changing them a try but, I have heard that the Kawasaki grips are vulcanized onto the throttle tube and are darn near impossible to remove without changing the throttle tube. Is this true? Any other help / tips or tricks would as always be very much appreciated. Not brave enough to try changing the throttle tube.
Thanks
Pat

Re: grip change
Use a box knife/exacto knife, slice the grip lengthwise peel it off and toss it out.

Re: grip change
or if the grips still have the ends on em just use a air nozzle with a rubber tip and use a compressor to blow them off. Works like a charm and there is youtube vids on it. Did it to mine and was quite amazed at how easy it made it plus I can reuse them if I had to.
If you cant fix it with a hammer, you have an electrical problem.
