After market kick stand?
Hi guys. I neglected to keep my kickstand bolt tight and as a result it has worn from flopping around while riding. The result is that it sticks out way too far from the swing arm when it's up. I would like to find a way to repair what I have or mount an aftermarket stand. Have any of you bought an aftermarket stand?

Are there not 2 bolts holding the kickstand on? You could weld and re drill the hole, but washers should work.

You can either repair the stocker (which sucks on the swingarm, it will come loose again) or replace it with a custom stand, or the KX250F aftermarket stand from TrailTech.

Re: After market kick stand?
the threads on one of my KDXs were screwed so I just tapped it out to the next standard size
if you do decide to replace it though, I will take the old one off your hands

After market kick stand?
The problem isn't where the plate attaches to the swingarm. The two bolts that hold it on are tight. The problem is the single bolt where the stand attaches to the plate. I thought about replacing the badly worn bolt and using washers to take up the slop (which I'll probably try), but I don't think it'll be as good as I want it to be. It's hard to explain here, but the way the stand and plate are worn makes it almost impossible to repair to "like new" condition. I can buy a new OEM stand and attachment plate, but for the price I might prefer an aftermarket stand depending on how they attach and work. Have any of you tried the trail tech stand?

Build the stand up with weld and re-cut the notch. Works like a charm.
