Swing Arm Paint

Post by Wall »

I must say the only thing I don't like about my KDX is the fact it has a painted swing arm and this has lifted in places. Has anyone found a colour match for it?

I'd just sand the paint off and call it good, that's what I did.... after i failed at a paint attempt
Looks good "neked" though.

Swing Arm Paint

When I repainted mine I used Duplicolor Caliper paint, baked it for an hour, and it has held up very well. It is a slightly darker silver than factory but you can't tell unless you have stock swingarm right next to it.

Ditto on caliper paint. Real durable and covers up imperfections. Not hard to make it look like new

Swing Arm Paint

I am struggling to find a colour match for the swing arm. I have the frame paint but cant find swing arm paint I think its the same colour as the ZX6 of that year..

Are the swing arms easy to remove if I wanted to get it powder coated?

What silver caliper paint are we talking about? I have a silver enamel spray from my local shop called Halfords but it doesn't match. The swingarm is a funny silver

Are you painting all of it or just trying to do a touch-up?

Duplicolor caliper paint. Most automotive stores carry it here in the U.S. Hopefully you can find it there as well. Just paint the whole swingarm and no one will ever notice any difference.

Hello mate, I was planning just to touch it up as I didn't want to start removing swing arm and that
