88 kdx parts

Post by dsmitty »

hey guys I have an 88 kdx200. Needs bore and piston. how big can i go without extensive port and head work and maintain good reliability? Is it worth it on a aircooled kdx? Is it worth it to send the head and caeb to Ron Black. Also I cant find a fmf gnarly for c series anywhere. Just DG.Do they make em? whats the best pipe for these? THANKS for any help!!

Is it plated or sleeved?

If it can be made a 240, then it will have to have head work.

FMF doesn't make a pipe for the 1986 - 1988 KDX200 any longer. From what I have read, it was the best pipe of the ones that were available in the past few years.

You need to find out about the cylinder.

Whoever does the big bore kit will have all the answers to the porting and head work questions, as well as the power valve system and amount of overbore.

I have not ran a DG pipe.
