Jetting question.

Post by hbgod »

Im in the process of building an 86 kdx200 (have a thread on here) but the carb that came with the bike was missing pieces so i decided to just buy a new carb.
i went with a PE36mm Keihin. now the question is what should i use for jetting? the bike has been sleeved/ported with a wiesco top end. Im probably gonna buy a few sizes but would like a place to start.
iknow these bikes originally had mukinis but the keihin is a better carb.

28 year old bike

ported cylinder

different brand and model of carb

you want us to give you jetting info

Which of these four do not belong?

Startat too rich and work your way back down may be better than starting lean and working your way up??

well from what i understand the 88kdx had a carb relatively close to the PE36 no? and alot of people seem to use that or a pwk on the 86/87.
