Bars

Post by Brom32 »

I am looking to upgrade to better handle bars mostly because I can't use the bark busters that I got for my birthday.

What Bars do you guys recommend?

I use the Tusk bars. I love the feel, the look, and the price! I'm about ready to put a new set of bars and bark busters on my KDX.

I have the stock bars and on the throttle side the bar isn't exactly hollow. That meaning that you can't stick the bolt into it. Here's a picture of the bark busters

cut the very end of the bar off and use a die grinder to smooth out the inside , If you dont have a die grinder use a drill bit .

All it takes to make it open ended is a hacksaw

Some bars have plugs in the end, if you cant pull it out you may be able to drive it further in so the bolt will fit. Or cut the very end off like above. Or get new bars if you want! Having ridden with a set of oversize bars last weekend, I'm now shopping for my next set!

I have Tusk bars and they have many different bends available. I run the YZ/WR bend as they measured out the closest to the factory KDX bar.
