What bike? The 04 in your signature had hydraulic brakes. If you are looking to replace a mechanical drum on a much older bike you'll need basically the front end to go to hydraulic disk, wheel, rotor, forks (for caliper mounting provisions), caliper, master cylinder with hose and lever, etc.

Hydraulics

Post by pastorbuck »

I put a Magura hydraulic clutch on last year. It works great. You simply order the clutch specifying the bike (in your case, kdx) and they ship you the clutch fully assembled and filled with fluid. Installation was quick and easy. I think I had to take the exhaust pipe off in order to feed the bottom slave through. No big deal - piece of cake. I know they're expensive, but if you ride a lot, I think it's definitely worth it.
