Re: im so excited...
I got my wiring harness in today and after about 20 minutes with the soldering iron I had the entire mess cleaned up and looking good as new
I pulled the entire stator plate from my plated KDX and slapped it on and we got spark
now I just need to buy some coils a pipe and a few odds and ends and ill be roosting :)

Re: im so excited...
according to my tracking number the exhaust pipe should be here tomorrow
which is a good thing because this thing is LOUD
that's right, I installed a new stator the other day, cleaned out the tank and carb today and tossed in a half a gallon of gas
about 3 kicks later it was idling at about 140 DB
now I can really start dropping some money into this bike

Re: im so excited...
got the pipe on today and took her for a little spin
this bike is a lot harder to start then my 200s (not surprising considering I only cleaned the carb and haven't jetted it)
but my biggest issue seems to be the kickstarter
it doesn't want to kick through like the others but sometimes seems to want to kick back instead
I seem to remember this as a timing issue
when I installed the stator plate I just mounted it centered in the slotted holes
which way should I adjust it ?

Re: im so excited...
got the graphics in today
I send Steve a piece of the old purple graphics and he custom mixed a colour to match
(this is a terrible colour to photograph, but the purple is a near perfect match)
this is what the design looked like before he replaced the black with purple
