Any Houston Texas Members?
Hello,
Newbie here, just checking if any members are near Houston Texas and willing to meet up and help on top end job. I would like to pay someone to come over to the garage and show me how to perform top end or even hang out for lunch or beer on me. Just an option I thought of. I am new to the sport of dirt bike and would like to meet similar folks.
Thanks,

How is it going man? Yes, I do I remember you from the cycle gear. Thanks for that good help. I went ahead and brought it to a local mechanic, he seems knowledgeable about what he is doing and the bike should be ready to roll on Monday. The mechanic son is actually the 9th best dirt rider in the nation. He practices every single day at B2 track in Needville.KDXrider1989 wrote:whats up Darrell, you know Im willing to help. Yes, please definitely, lets get together and you can help guide me through the process on top end the next time I need the job done. I will be back at cycle gear saturday or sunday for some riding gear.
Have you and the other guys met up for some riding? I plan to get trailer soon.
Thanks for the help.

Re: Any Houston Texas Members?
hahahahahah lol
I need something just like this for my 2003 Honda Accord Sedan 4 door. I need a trailer really bad.
How does your car pull with that trailer and bike? I will need a similar hookup. I am thinking of this setup: http://houston.craigslist.org/sno/4434798950.html

That's a Harbor Freight trailer, you can buy a new one for under $300. Your car would tow that just fine, hell my street bike could tow that trailer w/a bike on it.

Re: Any Houston Texas Members?
the charger pulls just fine with that trailer, even with several bikes on it and the toolbox fully loaded
only time its tricky to pull is when your backing it up completely empty since it sits so low you cant see it until it kicks out sideways
I paid 400 for the trailer (used) 20 for the toolbox and welded a 2 foot extension to the tongue myself
pulls like a dream and I can fit everything I need in the toolbox, gearbag with helmet, gloves, pants, jersey, camelback and chestprotector, cooler, gascan, toolset, ratchet straps and other miscellaneous

Re: Any Houston Texas Members?
cant blame you
my dad has a hitch on his VW and that thing has a 1.7 or so in it...not even half the size of the charger (its only the V6 version but it makes for a nice little winterbeater)
sides, even a fully loaded trailer with 3 bikes on it and a buncha gear cant be more then 1000 pounds and you wouldn't even hesitate to put that big a load in the car if it was packaged as 4 or 5 or 7 young ladies
