Hi guys,I need some help. Where I go riding, I start at sea level and go up the mountains to 4000ft or higher, as I get higher the idle goes down and gets to the point where it dies all the time, we ride some pretty tight technical trails and I need to concentrate on the terrain rather then revving it to keep it running. I'm guessing it has to do with the air screw, should I stop and turn it out a 1/4 to 1/2 turn on the way up? Would the RB carb/head mod be what I am looking for? Also, I don't think it has the low end snap that I keep hearing about, mid range and up, touch the gas and instant response, if I'm in 2nd gear at 1/8 throttle and gas it to pop the front end over a log, does not happen till it revs up a bit? I'm running a 135 main/42 pilot and the clip is 2nd from the top.
Another thing, does anybody else get a sharp kick in the back when you hit a pot hole at highspeed, I get a jolt up my spine that makes me want to stand up all the time! I'm thinking it is time to get the shock rebuilt or is this normal?

200 or 220?

sounds like you should take a trip through the jetting guide. Properly dialed in you should be able to maintain a fairly consistent powerband as you climb using just the air screw to keep idle up.

After reading the jetting guide once again I'm guessing I will be adjusting the air screw all the up and down the trails to keep the idle consistent, and I'll have to raise the needle 1 clip to get the snap I want a low revs. Simple, right?

RB sells a modified air stryker carb that is more forgiving for temp and altitude changes.
