Hey guys,
I just bought a 1993 kdx200 the other day with full FMF pipes, Boyeson reeds, and an aftermarket clutch. The clutch is really hard to pull in. Is it because of the aftermarket clutch? How can i fix this? Also the Bike idles good when cold but when warm it won't. One more thing is it has a 152 main jet and a 45 pilot jet. What would you recommend for my upgrades?

Thanks

What is the state of tune of the bike? Is it freshly rebuilt or do you know?

What does your plug look like? How does it run?

What kind of gasoline and 2 stroke oil do you use? What ratio?

Where do you live and ride? Sea level or at 10,000 feet?

cant really tell you anything beyond that.

Once you establish a baseline, then we can figure out what you got. Theres a jetting database over at Thumpertalk KX 2stroke forum that is helpful but you need to establish those parameters.

No idea on your clutch, if the Previous owner put stiffer springs in the clutch to keep it from slipping or your cables all rusted or your lever is dorked up. thats up to you to figure out.

As far as the clutch you could have a notched basket. Letting the disk hang up. Which makes it have a hard feel.

As for the idle you might have a air leak somewhere.

Theres also a jetting guide here that is spot on follow it and you cant go wrong. Well I guess you can but its not hard.

Get a manual < before anything tho really.
