KYB shock rebuild kit?

Post by pastorbuck »

Hi guys. I discovered today that my shock is weeping oil. Does anybody know where I can get a rebuild kit for it? Thanks.

KYB shock rebuild kit?

Post by Gotanubike »

Pivot works has the bladder and linkage bearings. I just installed an All Balls seal head earlier this month.. Works good.

Here is my shock rebuild thread with some pics and stuff that may offer a few tips for you along the way.

There is no "store bought" kit, but pieces can be gathered together.

I ordered an All Balls seal kit today from Rocky Mountain ATV. I couldn't find a bladder anywhere, but I'm guessing that mine is ok.

Yeah likely it's fine

Here it is though. 89-06 KDX200's use this one

http://www.pivotworks.com/ProductInfo.a ... m_id=52603

Also the linkage bearing for the shock which you will definitely want to replace, also the same on E and H models
