I guess I missed all that somehow.....

If I pushed mine into the tank... it would go in about a quarter inch I imagine... not alot but I think I am going to go with the rubber baby buggy bumpers like Jon's... :lol:

If I were to do it again I would leave the tank on the bike (drained of course), hit it with the heat gun and then turn the bars so the clamp pushes in only the part that hits. I took my tank off and used a smooth knife handle to mould the tank in a tiny bit. Before modifying the tank, my clamp hit the tank only just hard enough to leave a slight mark in the plastic and that was after a big fall landing on the bars.. :mrgreen:
