Clutch adjustment ?
I have my clutch adjusted where the pinion is at the 90 degree mark and the cable is tight at the lever ! If the cable is too tight will it cause my clutch to slip or just ruin it ?

Re: Clutch adjustment ?
There should be some play at the lever, I don't have my manual in front of me atm but IIRC its like 2 or 3 mm. Check your manual for proper adjustment. having it too tight can cause it to drag or slip under load

Re: Clutch adjustment ?
I think 1-2cm play in the clutch lever is ok. Better than having it tight.

Clutch adjustment ?
What's all this millimeter stuff ? I use the good 'ol 1/8" to 3/16" of free play at the lever. I know, I know....but if an 'Merican nickel slips betwixt the lever and the perch, before pulling on the cable, it seems to suit my bikes just fine. I have been known to be half a moron, tho
