Anyone with gold valves, come in here

Post by JasonK94Z »

Are Jeff Fredette's shim stacks any different than what race tech suggests?

Want to know if Jeff Fredette's race tech gold valves he sells are the same shim stack as the shim stack recommended by race tech. Or does he have a custom shim stack?

Call and ask Jeff off his website 9-5 C.S.T.
He runs around with an "Ear phone" thing on all day so he doesn't miss a call
And is a Straight up Normal, Great Guy ! just ask him your question.

Oh and I have Gold Valves but have no idea if Jeff and my Race techs
Modded by MX-Tech... are the same !?!

The stack design depends on the rider skill and riding style, the kind of terrain, the speed normally used, etc. No one stack design works for everyone.

The Race Tech valves he sells on FRPOffroad.com are the same as the ones from race techs site. They are also available a lot of other places. As kawagumby said, the stack setup you end up with is entirely customized to you. The kit comes with all the shims and valves and the instructions on how to determine shim size/position.
