Reed Identification

Post by cararre911 »

I have a 2000 KDX 200. The previous owner put in a aftermarket reed block and I have no clue what reeds they are. All it says is Boyesen and doesn't have a part number. Unlike the stock reeds it only has 2 screws instead of 3. I ordered some reeds that looked the same on ebay for a KDX 200 but apparently they use the same thumbnail for multiple reeds and they didn't fit. I posted this on another section of this forum and someone said they thought they were rad valves but I haven't been able to find anything about a rad valve that fits a KDX 200. Here are some pics of the old reeds.

If anyone knows what model they are could you post a link on here of some for sale (not necessarily for a good deal just for reference). I appreciate any help, Thanks

The reeds are `boyesen dual stage` reeds available for the Rad valve, check on the Boyesen web.

I pulled these up, shouldn't they work?

That picture is for illustration only ( it has 3 mounting holes rather than the 2 ) but yes these are boyesen dual stage reeds, just quote your model bike & you should be fine.
