One of the BEST I have seen , I really like the combo of a little blue and the orange number plates , really sets it off . Excellent job and imagination .

If he sees this, please post details on the chain slider, guide and rollers. Also, what forks? Thanks.

Also, why is that fence so damn tall?

Hi guys, thanks for all your comments & for john aka Dude for posting up the pics for me which is much appreciated .
Well where do I start...I took the bike off the road back in September but never actually started to rebuild/refurbish it til just after December. During that time i managed to accumulate most of the parts for the build so it was just finding the time to crack on with it. The list follows...

1990 kx front end ( I purchased from john...dude...who rebuilt them with new seals, oil etc ) I modified axle to take the kdx wheel.
New old stock KX500 top yoke ( so I can fit `enduro engineering` bar risers.
Renthal desert bars.
Barkbusters.
New genuine radiator inner guards in white.
Seal savers fork seal protectors.
New Original old stock KX 500 front disc guard.
Venhill coloured brake hoses.
UFO frame guards.
UFO `kdx` replica headlight shroud in white modified to take my kdx light & wireing.
UFO side panels with coloured number backgrounds.
Kx 125 2006 front mudguard.
Klx 300 chain slider modified to fit.
Race FX chain roller kit in blue.
New old stock kdx chain guide & cage ( now fitted )
Factory Racing ignition cover.
ASI performance silicon radiator hose kit.
Magura hydraulic clutch conversion.
Ricochet alloy sump guard.
renthal front sprocket.
Supersprox alloy/steel rear sprocket.
Renthal gold x ring chain.
Michelin ac 10 rear enduro tyre
Michelin comp 4 front endure tyre.
Michelin heavy duty inner tubes.

Engine.....

All ports matched, ported & polished , cylinder head milled, modified wossner piston to suit along with the powervalves.
Kdx 200 35mm carb jetted to suit.
Modified airbox lid & snorkel removed.
FMF woods pipe powercore 2 silencer
Twin air air filter.
Boyesen rad valve with dual stage reeds.
NGK iridium spark plug.
Rock oil pre-mix at 40.1
Dyno power print out puts bike at just under 40hp

I`m sure there are a few things I have forgot as I have owned this bike for the last 5 years...she`s a keeper!!

Hi john, yep had a real good ride on Friday, 4 hours in total & I`m still aching now !
I found the forks a little hard so I`ve gone from the std 8 clicks out on the compression to 12..hopefully that should help. I haven't ridden since august so I`m a little out of shape also all the recent bad weather we have had has washed out most of our regular trails leaving deep rocky gullys or thick sticky mud....it certainly makes for an exciting ride, I didn't fall off though so that's good...but my nice clean kdx is somewhat grubby now
The new tuned motor pulls very very well...no hard MXer type hit, just smooth progressive power with increased torque right throughout the whole rpm range...low down to mid is where it`s really strong & just a simple tug on the bars will lift the front wheel..ideal for getting over fallen branches etc ...its a woods bike with a capital `W`

Sorry fern I missed your post, the seat cover is made by `Werx` quite hard wearing material, I picked this up a while ago now & it has lasted quite well...when I was doing the rebuild I was tempted to fit a lime green & black seat cover like the modern style kx`s but there wasn't anything wrong with this one so it stayed.
