So ordered a service manual for a 2002 kdx 220 when I got it says kdx 200 on it the store says its the right one does any one know if I got the right one and why it does not say its for a 220

Well, I asked why on this forum there isn't a 220 page in the bike specific category. I was told that they are exactly the same bike except for the larger cylinder and piston. I assume it's the same with the manual, but I don't know for sure.

That's correct,,, the only difference is the cylinder , piston and rings , head and the 220 uses a slightly smaller 33mm carb.
So you can make a 200 a 220 or vise versa ,,, if you have the ca ching.

there should be a 220 supplement part with the 200 manual, or you may have to purchase it separately?
it should be an extra 22 pages of info, it is only very basic info at that, as the others have said most of the major stuff is the same as the 200.

Another difference was the KDX200 non-ring chain / KDX220R ring chain and wider chain guide.

found it through google, so I am unsure as to why it would be illegal as its plastered over the web?
