KDX200 Wiki

Post by Gotanubike »

Hey guys, well from day one i always wondered why there was no wikipedia page written for the KDX200. So today I began to write a KDX200 wikpedia page article in their designated sandbox area for beginner writers. Before I knew it, I had something worthy of publishing as a legitimate article!

Here is what I have so far

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kawasaki_KDX200

As you will probably find there may be some inaccurate info there, I tried to go by what I found in random articles relating to the KDX, and from any info I have learned already.

If you think anything can be changed, anything you'd like to see added to the article, either let me know ASAP, or you can register with wikipedia for free and edit the article yourself!

Much of the formatting, such as the table charts and picture embedding formats I borrowed from other articles.

Some info that would greatly be appreciated are the following:

- Any notes regarding changes to revisions of A, C, E and H models
- Specifications for EACH generational revision, using the list below...any info you believe to be not available for the KDX model can be removed:

A model:

Just need someone who can copy over the info from their H series manual, and someone who has the Specs for the A model, which I assume is more less the same as the C anyways...

Any more Sub-content information such as VIN identification could be included.

open to all suggestions

Updated the description of the E-Series photo caption to indicate that it is a 1993 (not a 1992). (Filename still infers 1992, though).

Also main image for page is not an E series, but an SR. Don't know what year though. I guess an SR section to the article may be needed.

Thanks sarrant...Throw me a quick definition of "SR" and what models are givin the SR title and I will add it to the notes for the relevant models. I've only seen E series SR models, from what I know they are only non - N American models?

I think I have all the tables and most revision notes filled in...any input regarding misinformation, incorrect info, or any more more subjects that could be added regarding the kdx200 would be appreciated...

As for the SR models, I have only been able to find small amounts of info on 89-94 series SR models, but have seen pictures of SR H models in the past...I want to try and be as clear as possible and provide the most info I can

You may be right, thanks for the input. Jason did point out in another thread that they are known by B, D, F, and G in some countries...I did label the charts as U.S models only, perhaps I should add something to the descriptions...

As for the forks, the info I gathered for that was from cyclepedia.com. See here for year 1994..

I'm not pretentious enough to know better than that Cyclepedia, but as you can see the OEM numbers of the fork seems the same in 93 and 94

Thanks for that...they might have mixed it up it with the kdx250 around the same year which had 43mm USD's. Forks are something I have yet to fully explore...

Good luck on your wikipedia efforts.

I the USA, 1993 and 1994 KDX200 had 41mm USD inner tube forks. 1991 - 1994 KDX250 had 43mm inner fork tubes.

You may be able to find some information from ...... Kawasaki!

http://www.kawasaki.com/DefaultFrame.as ... EHTABS%3d1

Also, buy the model identification CD from Kawasaki for 1965 - 2001 models. It shows all the B, D, G, SR, USA, EU, UK, AUS, etc. models. 99969-0896-01 , about $11
Thank you for participating on kdxrider.net. :bravo:
