I have a 2006 KDX 200 that came with a sloppy Regina o-ring chain. It's time for a new one! Will a 520 o-ring (x-ring) chain fit without causing interference with the chain guide or case? Did these bikes come stock with a standard chain, or o-ring type?
Thanks,
O-Ring Chain ?

O-Ring Chain ?
I don't know what the H series came with stock but, if it can fit an O-ring now, an X-ring will fit with no problem.

Re: O-Ring Chain ?
H series 200's came with a non o-ring chain
220's came with a o-ring and to make it fit the chain guide down by the rear sprocket is slightly wider on the 220's
but if a o-ring is on it now a x-ring will fit like SS109 said

Re: O-Ring Chain ?
I put an X-ring D.I.D chain on my E-series and it was fine, and my new H-series has an o-ring chain on it. :)

O-Ring Chain ?
Thanks.
The D.I.D. narrow is the chain needed for my Honda CRF-X. Great chain! (just expensive)
I have a Primary Drive 520 X-ring Gold that I would like to run on my KDX. The Regina o-ring chain that was on it appeared to rub the case a little. Nothing too bad though. The guide seems to already be "worn in" to the wider chain. No problem there. It just got me thinking! There is not much room to shim out the drive gear!
