Fuel consumption

Post by Piet »

What do you get?

We often do a round trip, out and back, of about 80km.
To our 'halfway mark' is more straight going and thus less than 40km.
Here I normally add 4L of fuel and guess the tank can take another liter maybe two.
Terrain is fairly technical and slow going. Rocky in the beginning and sandy river bed.
Mostly 2nd gear. 1st in rocky sections and 3rd or 4th on sand.

I get about 8km/l or converted about 18MPG

What do you get?

Fuel consumption

Post by K50X200 »

That's about what I get when I'm riding trails (although I've only checked it twice)...
It does a little better on dual sport events, although I don't know the exact mileage, I do know I was surprised a how little fuel I needed at the fuel stop at the Seven Mtns Dual Sport.
I had a enough oil in a fuel treatment container for 2 gallons of gas, thinking there would be more than enough room in the tank for that much - but only need 1.5 gallons if I remember right.
