2002 KDX 200 Fork Oil Air Gap

Changing out the front springs on a '02 KDX200 and was wondering what the nominal air-gap measurement is for these forks (as measured with no spring/fork fully compressed)? I've seen several posts mentioning oil volume...but have always preferred using the air-gap measurement...so I figured I'd ask.

I'm running 120mm down, seems to work just fine. Using 5wt right now, but thinking about switching to 7.5 for a little more rebound..

Going up in oil wt actually slows down rebound.

I am currently at 130mm, no casing, 4 compression hs valve shims removed from each leg. .41 springs.
The recommendation in the manual is 100mm, which if I ran the stock compression valving and springs, that is what I would run.

Well duh, that's what I stated...
More rebound equals
slower, unless your from down under, then lord knows what's up or down..

Im at 130 mm from top per race tech. Im also sporting .41kg xr 600 springx

I think you two just had a mix up of words but were both implying the same thing.
To OP, sounds like 100mm is the way to go.

Using adjectives and adverbs can clarify ones meaning.
faster rebound action
or
less rebound damping
slower rebound action
or
more rebound damping
and stuff

no you are wrong, more rebound means quicker.heavier viscosity oil / 7.5 vs 5 would result in slower { LESS } not more { quicker }. Well DUH so ends your lesson for today.
