Gold Sproket? They look nice when there sitting on a driveway, but when dirt covers it, who cares what color it is. Save your money and buy something someone will notice

Check out the gallery of other bikes to get ideas of how you might want to set up yours for looks. There's lots of individual styles from camo to moto-x for style. If I had $300 or so, I'd be looking into KX fork setup or RB modded airstriker carb. I know, performance, BUT they are visually appealing as well.

Is there any chance the $350 might be better spent on tools, chemicals or maintenance of bike parts?

Why not ?? I got an 02-03 front end with Emig top clamp, race tech springs and gold valves, midvalve replacement kit, wheel, axle, and pro taper bars all for $250 less shipping.

wow, thats a good price, i cant find anything for less than like $400. But most of the time they need seals too. ALso i think i would not like the harder ride that the mx forks will give me, although they will look realy nice.

For the last time, everybody repeat after me...USD forks do not have to be harsh and non-compliant. Like everything else it is a matter of tuning. I'm with everybody else your bike looks good right now. Save the money and start watching and waiting on ebay. You can piece together a complete setup for $350 and it will make you wonder why you didn't do it long before. Seals are nothing to be alarmed at changing out. If you can't handle them send them out to Jason, he does good work at a very reasonable price.

It is not written that the seals will be bad, that the springs are wrong etc....

Mine had the right rate springs, great seals etc... only cost what I paid for it.

OK... so it's not for you... just get some glitter and glue!

lol, i guess i will wait for a sweeet graphics kit and look into forks or into a carb mod. Hmm thats a real good question. I was wondering if the kx forks would be better than the stock forks for riding trails with alot of ruts and bumps. Also if they are set up for a 180 pound rider and i weight 140 without my gear would i need to change anything out or should they be ok, cause thats the general weight i saw on ebay for them. Also are the kx125 and kx250 front ends the same?? And one more thing :supz: will the seals last longer with the kdx forks or the kx forks?? thanks

Step back for a sec. Who said you have to put new seals and springs in them?

If your patient you can get 96 or newer forks all day long for right around $100-$150 shipped. Toss in another $50-$100 for a wheel and $25-$50 for the clamps and your done. Max total $300 and your ready to ride. If your patient you could do it for much closer to $200. Your brakes and bars mount right up.

Choose a pair of forks that don't have leaking seals. Depending on your weight you might be over sprung but backing out the compression and rebound a bit will help until you can respring them. If your around 160-180 lbs chances are the springs in set of kx forks will be just right for woods work. Changing the preload on the springs might help if they are marginal for your weight.

The improvement it will make to your bike will be worth every penny. Suspension that works properly helps keep you safe and lets you ride harder for longer.
