The only thing that i can think of is the "snorkel, but that sits in the air box lid, there is also the tank damper, can't think of anything else that should be under there.

Re: No idea what this is called ????
if it is the snorkel (or the airbox lid) the simplest solution would be to pitch it and rejet the bike

Is it white and long? Someone may have installed a KX part there.

Does it look similar to the clear piece in the pic below just behind the tank and above the airbox? If so it is a splash shield to keep muck from coming up around the rear shock into the airbox area. Post a pic, but there isn't an OEM piece that goes there IIRC

If you have the stock airbox lid and snorkle on I wouldn't worry about it. even without the snorkle or lid I wouldn't worry about it as long as you're running with your side panels. My 220 didn't have that piece, but the KX did since the KX airbox was not designed for enduro conditions and is much more prone to getting crud up there.

I can't find that diagram, doesn't show that part for the 1990 E-series, and thats not an E-series frame, but that looks like a likely candidate

not a stock part for your bike, I personally wouldn't worry about replacing it. Toss it out and ride!
