Front indicators stay on, rears dont work

Post by Riverrat321 »

Hi everyone,
I dropped my bike and broke the rear indicator light on the RHS. When I put the right indicator on the front indicator light came on and did not flash and the rear did not come on. The left indicators still worked fine. I changed both lights at the rear. The rear light still did not work and the front stayed on steady. the left one again worked fine. I took the bulb out of the left light to try in the right. Still the same...
Now the really strange bit.... I put the left rear bulb back in and now it is doing exactly the same thing as the RHS (front light on steady and nothing on the rear). Is there a trick to changing bulbs on these things or something?

You lost a ground somewhere, probably in the right rear.

follow the wiring from the right turn signal back. the turn signal should have a black ground wire, could be broken inside the signal, it's just soldered on. Follow to the junction where it is attached to the stock harness-just under the seat.
