how well will she wheelie???

Post by sasrocks »

Back together finally after a suspension refresh f and r, with .44 springs up from .32 or whatever stock is. can't believe I rode it with those in!!!!

so with the stiffer springs, a 49t rear (up from 47) and shorter wheelbase how frisky will it be??? on ocmmand in secind for sure, what about 3rd?

I also have the RB carb (200) and a rev pipe.

oh also the WER damper. done about all I am gonna do to it. if this is not stout enough for my taste in the motor dept I am going medieval (KX/YZ) next!!!!

Is that with the RB carb mod & DF III? If so, I still need to upgrade. If not, I must need to keep tinkering with the jetting because a simple throttle roll will NOT get my 200's front wheel up in 3rd gear. Hard acceleration will lift it slightly but by then I'm going pretty fast and a controlled wheelie is beyond my abilities there.

One thing that can make the difference between easy wheelies and no wheelies is a good tyre (tire). I find once I get a new rear tyre wheelies are alot more predictable, if that makes sense.

yeah, he also has a 3 tooth CS sprocket, and a rear sprocket so big the tire can't touch the ground. Tops out at a blistering 9 mph.
