Best method of flushing old coolant?

Hi guys

I'm going to dump the coolant this weekend and refill with new Motul concentrate @ 50:50.

What's the most effective method of flushing the old stuff? Not sure what brand it is and don't want to mix it with the new gear...

Thanks!

It will be ok just to empty the system & refill & run with distilled water ( de ionized ) for a few minutes just to absorb any of the old coolant....empty system out then refill with your new brand...job done.

Yeah was thinking along those lines - thanks.

Gave it two flushes with straight water then in went the 50:50

Perfect!

That sounds like a good idea to me. Good tip.

I do. Have had no problems at all. Even trail riding my yz250 no rad. boil overs. I like the fact it is ready to go from the jug.
