Which is the best pipe?
Well I hit a tree a while back, my PC platinum is bent i think beyond repair.
So should i get another pro circut or a Fmf gnarly? I do enduro/woods type riding.
Got the stock pipe on at the moment and it goes well with that to.
I have a PC muffler but guess it all bolts up?

Most people seem to agree that the gnarly is the go-to pipe for 200's in the woods so you can't really go wrong there.
But you could also look in to getting your PC pipe fixed. There are pipe repair companies that should be able to take care of it for you for ~$50.
I've seen before and after pics of pipes that slammed in to trees and looked like scrap metal come back looking like new.

Re: Which is the best pipe?
There really isn't a best pipe in general. There will be a best pipe for you, though! Depends on where AND how you ride. What do you want out of the bike? More low end? Gnarly woods. More top end? Gnarly desert. More mid-range? PC. Any aftermarket pipe will have slightly more power everywhere than the restrictive stock setup. Other than that, one pipe aftermarket pipe doesn't really have more power than any other, they just shift the power around a bit. Hope this helps!

Re: Which is the best pipe?
Mine is twisted over the whole pipe length. Not a big dent. So the main barrel of the pipe was pushed back and was sitting on the water pump, twisted through the bends in front of the motor. And the tail pipe part bent when it goes into the muffler pipe. I would like to fix it but no idea how. Its getting a bit rusty so if I could fix it I would paint it.Thrahl wrote:Most people seem to agree that the gnarly is the go-to pipe for 200's in the woods so you can't really go wrong there.

Re: Which is the best pipe?
Would the PC have more down low than the stock pipe? I prefer low down power for where I ride so had been thinking a Gnarly woods but is it a big change over the PC? We dont have wide open areas here in NZ so its mainly woods and steep type riding.Julien D wrote:There really isn't a best pipe in general. There will be a best pipe for you, though! I love my PC but they have been discontinued so you will have to find NOS.
