To be honest & depending on how much $$$ you want to spend I would ( for piece of mind ) fit a new piston & freshen up the top end, change the coolant etc etc. Send the head & cylinder off to jeff fredette for some porting work , this will really wake the bike up throughout the whole RPM range ,next FMF gnarly woods pipe works very well, pro circuit platinum pipe also works very well & sounds fantastic too, no need to bore out the carb etc just fit the 35mm carb of the kdx 200 jet accordingly & use the slide & needle off the 220, I have one on mine & it works very well, remove the air box snorkel & perhaps drill x3 1 inch holes next to the snorkel hole...the 220 due to its porting will never beat a 200 for out & out top end but do the above mods & you will have a kdx that the 200 boys will be jealous of.

I have replaced the stock piston
Sent the head to RB Designs
Replaced stock air filter with a UNI
Boyesen 607 reeds
Installed Race Tech .46 fork springs, and 5.6 shock spring ( I weigh 220 lbs)

I am about to order a Pro Circuit Platinum 2 pipe, FMF turbincore silencer, gold valves from Jeff Fredette for the forks
