If its a heavy rust use scotchbrite (I do) or a very fine steel wool sprayed w/WD40

i dont exactly have it any more  . I just tried to use coarse steel wool on the rust with the wd-40 and boy at this rate it will take at least 7 or 8 hours, do you think the scotchguards pads will work better?

Scotch pad or SOS Pads-Yep. Roll the packing until it is approx. the size of the inner diameter of the TBC2

If it's wire mesh or perforated metal... find a screw that will fit in one of the holes ...screw it in a little and carefully pull it out with a pair of pliers until it flush.... repeat around the tube until it is back into shape...

As long as it seals and all parts fit together correctly... it just all depends on where the distortion is.
