Solved my spooge problem

Post by roadkillrobert »

Or at least the not normal spooge problem.

Noticed lately I have been getting a lot of spooge on my swingarm, but much more and much closer to the front of the swingarm, like if you remove the drain bolt (oem silencer).

Took it off tonight and looked at the bottom where the oil had collected to drip off and though maybe the seem was leaking, but found some pinholes. Metal seems good and solid around the area but assuming it rusted a bit from the inside or something (not sure how it could with that much oil typically inside, but it has sat a bit for the last few years. Anyway, going to drill a hole in it where the pinholes are and weld it back up (maybe will stick the borescope up there and see if I can see that area from the inlet, but guessing not.
