LAB2V Dualsport Rally 500 miles

Has anyone done the LAB2V dualsport ride on a KDX?

I'm just wondering how far my 220 with 3.6 gallon Clarke tank will go in the desert. I read the terrain is
sand, sand whoops, and deep sand, for miles and miles . Longest gas stop is supposedly 90 miles. My 220
can do that with taller gearing under ideal condition, like hardpack dirt, at reasonalbe speed, like 50 MPH.

My friend Keith and I did it last year on my KLR and his XR650L, (both the wrong bikes). There were serveal YZ's running the course. So I would say take a few extra liters with you and you will be fine. Plenty of people on the course to help you out if you run dry. Also lots of cutouts if you need to.

My opinion is the light the better, next time I run it it will be either on my KLX300 or my KDX200. Be prepared for a sea of orange. Last year a couple of guys tried it on CT90's, they did OK, one made it and one blew up if I recall.

Go for it. :supz:

Wow,90 miles on 1 tank! I can only dream of that type of mileage, I'm lucky if I can get 45 miles out of the stock tank.
