Fork boot clamps-hose clamp OK?
One of my top fork boot clamps was damaged and my local shop didn't have any. I ended up just using hose clamps. They are wider then the stock clamps but seem to work ok. Anyone else use these? I think it will work ok.

Re: Fork tube clamps-hose clamp OK?
If you mean on the fork boot, then I ran just zip ties for a long time with no problem.

Yes sorry, that's what I meant. I thought of zip ties too. Those might work better cuz the hose clamps go over the lip on the boot. They are not on the metal fork itself but are just a little too wide. Either one should work ok I think. Thanks for replying.

Don't forget the gas it will take to get to the post office! And what if it's raining? You will need to take the car so it will be that much more. And if it is a cold morning you might need to let the car warm up. Looks like it's starting to get up there pretty quick.diymirage wrote:bufftester wrote:If you really want to wind batesy up sell them for 39.99, plus shipping, plus tax, plus handling....all prepaid lol
