I raced my KDX200 in motocross but only after doing these mods: http://www.dragonfly75.com/moto/MX.html
Most important was raising the front end and lowering the rear for more fork angle. Otherwise it is too easy to swap ends on a rough section.

Looks like my bike is more then ready with the mods it has. I will have to get the front forks changed. What will that cost me?

Depends on what you go with and whether you spring and valve the new ones I think average is 200-400$
