Probably better to stick with 32 or 40 and actually jet the thing. Should make more power that way.

Look like you are running lean. If your bike runs better with 50:1 that means you have 50 parts of gas per 1 part of oil. Your bikes engine was design for 32:1 so less oil is equivalent to more wear.

Why would ams recommend 50-1 and I understand kdx are 32-1 according to the manual But out of the 7 types of mix they say to use they also don't say anything about synthetics I have some non synthetic 2t oil and it is thinner I find ams synthetic thicker ...I'm just trying to figure out why my bike is running so much better ...maybe I'll take the carb off and see what jets are in it maybe the previous owner changed them he was also using ams just not sure the mix

Your jetting was off before. It may be still off, just not as bad as before.

50:1 is what Amsoil recommends. 50:1 sounds like putting around, following a child rider type of oil ratio. The more you twist the throttle, the higher amount of oil you will need.

Pick an oil, figure out whih ratio your riding type requires, then jet accordingly. Swapping brands of gasoline, dirty air filter, etc. will throw off jetting.

Take your jets out, see what they are, then start making changes one at a time. :hmm:
