Forgive me, but doesn't the rectifier go on the missing lid, too?

Hi the rectifier should be located in the frame between the rear fender and the air box. Here is a photo

To the OP. Another thing that will help us help you is if you post the pictures that you want us to look at in the thread. And not make us go looking for them with links.

I think you should go riding this weekend. Of course, it is not my bike. However, I have probably done more unnecessary harm to motor vehicles by working on them than riding them.....

its a KDX 200 (assuming you checked the stamp on the base of the cylinder to make sure nobody blew the engine and replaced it with a 220)
it has good compression, a clean airfliter and fresh oil ?

seems to me the only thing it is missing is a rider

iv been taking her out to this small spot and running her and she seems to be running strong that rear tire mise as well be a slick i have no traction so i cant justify how the power is right now but she idles super low and i haven't had any problems starting her. she seems to shift super smooth its to the point where im not sure if i shifted or not because i couldn't fell a click or anything like on my wr. i ordered a new tire today bought her new tyranny fluid they recommended sae 80w/85w it was cheap so i said why not is this any good? then bought some synthetic 2 cycle oil. also had to get some new grips couldnt stand the half torn off grips and couldnt resist the green ones. tomorrow I'm going to do a compression check and change out the transmission oil. then when she gets a new tire take her to the trails. oh and im cleaning her filter too cant forget that!!!

i did check the stamp on the cylinder and its not the 220 I'm going to measure just in case but i have been riding her just not how i want to for the fact that rear tire wont grab anything

metzeler mc5 is an 18 inch rim rare? we were looking in the catalog and alot of companies didnt make them in that seize. i wanted more of a trials tire but i went with a medium hard tire i had a soft compound before and tore it up in a few rides through the single track here.

not so much a rare size as...shall we say, outdated?

it used to be all dirtbikes were 21/18 and for some reason most all of them went to 19 in the rear
18 is better for trails because you can run lower pressure with more flex

I've heard good things about the metzeler tires, hope you like them

thats what i meant i knew they were outdated but didnt think they would stop producing them as much. he hooked me up with a military discount and said he would mount it for free since he wont have it till next week.

that's cool

mounting tires is rather simple once you get the hang of it but any change I get to pass on it I will

so a military discount, are you a service member ?
we have a few of them on here
