What is the best/easiest/safest way to remove the spring on the kick stand?
I need to replace the kick stand. So I need to remove the spring first.

grab some vise grips........really? Sorry kinda stupid question and yes I know there is none however kinda simple. For mine I eliminated the root hugger.
If you cant fix it with a hammer, you have an electrical problem.

I have used one of those drum brake spring pliers and that worked great to get it off and back on. But just about anything can work if you can get ahold of the spring.
