fly maverick boots

Hey everyone would like to know if any has any in site on these boots I'm looking for a pair as I learned the hard why why you should wear riding boots as I put my foot peg through my skin and got 6 stitches so any info would be great thanks

no offense horrible boot imo. Size and everything ok just rubs the wrong way.

Spend the extra money........well worth it. If on the fly yes good choice.

Have to +1 on the horrible boot comment. I have a pair collecting dust because they're so uncomfortable. I'm glad I invested in some good boots.

What about Thor quan boots I can get them for 179 I tries on tech 3 don't like the feel or fox comp 5

I don't know about the Thor boots, but I got some ARC boots from Rocky Mountain for $99 a few years ago and they are great. they might be 139 now, but would be worth it IMO. they are hinged at the ankle and very comfortable and durable. they are also only the second pair of boots I've ever owned, so take my advice with a grain of salt

a friend of mine got the fly maverick boots, and they just seem to be cheaply made of cheap materials. very stiff, cardboardy, and uncomfortable.

I have a pair they aren't that comfortable but not that bad. I don't race or compete or I'd have better ones. I dual sport as well as trail ride and do wear them all day my feet are not sore at the end if the day. However my next boots will be hinged.

They are wht they are, a cheap boot that will protect your lower leg.

Thanks for the help I ended up getting a pair of tech 7 for the price of the tech 3 they had the wrong price on them lol there loss my gain

One other thing now I got the boots of course its hard to shift ..I have my shifter level with the foot peg I moved it up two splines now the boot fits good I can shift but do you think it is to high its a IMS shifter thanks

As long as it works comfortably for you, should be good. It def was weird shifting on a dirt bike with big ol clunky boots on, but you get used to it.

Ya not use to it for sure but after getting the foot peg in the shin and 6 stitches ....my boot fits under the shifter nice going up two splines its comfortable just looks to high

When you switch to real boots, you get to learn how to shift differently.

Put your foot under the shifter and lift your foot, not flex your ankle.

Move the shifter back down.

Yes, it will take some getting used to.

It is more about function than looks. Can you up shift AND down shift easily? And like Jason said, you will need to get used to the boots. I would try the boots on a ride or two and see what you think after that. When I got my bike I had to raise the shifter a bit too. But it doesn't look that high. You don't really need to ride with your toe under the shifter. You should just be able to get your toe under the shifter quickly when needed.

Just my opinion but I also think it looks to high. It will take a few rides to get use to boots, shifting and braking.
