HANDLEBARS AND MOUNTS

Post by meccanj98 »

I am trying to upgrade my bars to 1 1/8 pro tapers. What mounts should I go with? I called pro taper and guy didn't have an answer. Could anyone please show me their set ups? I would also like to move my mounts forward more. I feel like the bars are to close to me. Is that possible. My bike is a 95 KDX with stock mounts! Thanks for any help.

Does anyone have aftermarket 1 1/8 bars on there bikes? How did you mount them? I spoke to Renthal and Pro taper and both said their mounts won't work. Help Please!

i run `enduro engineering` billet mounts on my 220, they raise the bars & also move them forward too, these items replace the OE rubber mounted bar mounts, i have also installed billet cones rather than the rubber ones.

RMATV has some bar adapters/risers that will work. http://www.rockymountainatvmc.com/p/43/ ... r+adapters I use the standard rider only version and they have held up great so far.

i would imagine any 7/8th to 1.1/8 converter/riser should work just fine
they bolt on just like the caps on your regular handle bars do and then the bigger ones just bolt into those
i run a set of pro-taper like these but i also have a KX front end

(dont worry Batesy...i got a much better deal than that)

I used renthal mounts, standard H forks and pro tapers. Didn't want them higher than stock.

I have some of the generic adapters. They allow you to run 1 1/8'' bars, plus raise them a little bit.
