91 footpegs

Post by zkdx »

Any suggestions on aftermarket or other bike's pegs that will work on the ol' 91 200. I think the pegs on my xr50 are wider than these!!! Didn't really notice it until this weekend when I landed a couple larger jumps on it.

Suggestions?

Since you know how to weld, you might want to try those weld on wideners or maybe IMS. I know KX pegs since 1991 won't work.

When you entered the amusement park, there were no signs of expensive refreshments? I think sometime in the '90's there was a secret law passed that NOTHING cheap would be allowed in dirt biking anymore. :?

But seriously, good luck on the pegs.

Here's the cheapest possible way of doing it.

Need a drill, some flat bar and a hacksaw.

Get the flat bar long enough to wrap around your peg and the thickness of 2 pegs (white)

Mark a line down the centre to drill a line of holes (red)

Mark the holes

Drill the holes (black)

Cut it down the centre (red)

Shape bar (white) to wrap around peg

Weld on

Voila !!!

Clear as mud ?!?!

I recall seeing somewhere, sometime. Maybe CC's idea originally. If he don't speak up well I guess I have to take all the credit then...
