new to the kdx got a couple of ???

Justbougth a 1994 kdx in really nice conditon, but lacks a sidestand, so far unable to find one for a 94 but they are available for newer models, the braket is the same part number as mine the stand has a different number. Any one have any knowledge of what years will work? What is the stock gearing on the 94? One last question how much chain slack should I have when the bike is on a stand? I am set at 2 1/2 and seems about right. thanks Bill

Can't help you much on your questions but congrats on the buy. I just got a 94 kdx a few weeks back myself, having a blast with it. Pictures?

For a sidestand, check with Jeff Fredette, FRP Racing, 708-946-0999. Last time I talked to him, he had one.

My dad has a 93 and is currently using the kickstand from my old 2001 KDX. Bolted right up with no mods.
