New shiftrer

Im having a hard time finding a shifter for my 98. Lots of options for 94 and older but only two for 95 and newer. Reveiws on the ims and msr alum. are not very good. Please help what opps. Do i have? I dont want a p.o.s. and have problems half way through a 60 to 80 mile ride. Thank for your help.
