Hi everyone. So I have read that a re torque on the 4 clutch bolts is a good idea. I understand these KDX's are bad about these bolts backing out. What do you guys think? Should I pull the cover off and check them? I dont have a gasket to replace it if it rips. Thanks for the advice!

This is the first I have heard of the clutch bolts being a problem. I wouldn't bother with checking them if I knew I put them in and tightened them to spec. There are people out there that half ass things and when it falls apart they assume the problem is with the product and not the process.

I rode on mine for 1700 miles over last summer and they didn't back out. I DID lose my kickstarter somewhere on the trail but, my clutch was good to go LOL.

Yeah, at one point I put almost 3 seasons of riding on my clutch and when I finally did pull it apart those bolts hadn't moved a smidge. rbates hit that nail right on the head
