Is the OEM air filter pre-oiled?

I got one. Pulled it out of the bag. My hand is oily. But the oil is not sticky like the Belray stuff.

Is the OEM air filter ready to use? Or is it "shipping oil"?

Should I wash the oil off and reoil with Belray?

If it doesn't feel that sticky then it probably needs to be re oiled.

maybe they sold you a used filter

I'd clean and re-oil it just to be sure..
